The essence of “Women’s Work “ seemed to me to be …to
provide and maintain harmony and order, be it domestic, workplace, social,
emotional, personal, family, spiritual, or environmental.
Using actual gloves to represent this I linked each with a tulle and beaded
overlay, reminiscent of weddings that initiate the naïve and romantic.
Barbed wire is embroidered as a border that traps each woman in the world
of work.
