One of my favourite plants the Lilium is an abundantly flowering bulb with a superb range of colours and varieties and each stem sprouts numerous blooms and buds. Here I’ve depicted Lilium Parkmanni Auratum. The window ledge view of ‘Lilium Splendour’ is like the cut flower; designed to give pleasure all year round. This is the first in my Window Ledge series of quilt designs followed by Dutch iris with sprouting tulips. Lily, the floral symbol of ‘Purity’ is defined as pure, and free from extraneous matter or contaminates. This work I hope, illustrates that purity.
